Claustrophobia

She hunched over and folded deeper into herself

She surrounded herself in a metal box

Millimeters of space in between her skin and the steel

She built it as a support

A way to protect herself from feelings

Only to find herself suffocating from being entrapped

She could barely breathe

As she clung to the walls

Desperate to be herself again

Needing to be alive again

But the walls only remained

And so did her self loathing
